It is a fact that before the applicant get hired, there is a lot of element to look at and must be viewed intently. One of these is the job interview, one of the basis in assessing applicant whether he/she is qualified of the job he/she is applying for. Consequently, during interview there are proper ways to be manifested by the interviewee to show that you are one they’re looking for. Nonetheless it doesn’t fit to all countries because as what the Canadian had observed, new applicants exhibit different forms of behavior. For instance: eye contact, for Western countries eye contact is necessary to show sincerity but to Middle East counries it’s on the contrary for it is improper for them to do that; another is handshaking, it must be firm to signify trustworthiness, but to other countries it might be different thing; then also self-promotion, you should sell yourself to the interviewer to impressed him/her and consider you to be hired but then again there are countries who find it inappropriate; and lastly relevant information, wherein in other countries they answer specific details to questions that seems irrelevant to the interviewer. Subsequently, the new Canadian applicant coming from different country and culture are underrated or else overrated by the interviewer.

Our behavior and attitude varies from culture to culture in all the countries around the world, and basically we conform to this culture where we are brought up. And wherever we will go this culture is already embeded to us in which we can’t change it instantly. As for what the article talks about that during job interviews, the interviewer met different kinds of people from different countries, and so they tend to overrate or underrate the applicant which is for me not fair to them because it is not their fault that they grow in that kind of culture. It must be right if the interviewer should know where the applicant came from to avoid prejudicism and subjective assessment, and they should likewise take into consideration their culture because he/she might have the skills and capabilities needed in the job. The interviewer then must be open minded in deliberating the applicant who comes from different countries which has a very rigid culture because if the former aims to hire the best and the brightest then culture differences should be disregarded.

Looking forward to the future, HRD profession was predicted or rather analyzed that this profession might change into a more specific area and may evolve in the next five to seven years. There are four scenarios that was predicted and that are the sub city, a boundless world, caste system and the silo economy. In the sub city, it entails that HRD are for procurement of employees only, while in the boundlessness world, due to innovative technology there would be no difference between external and internal HRD. For the case system it stresses more about the evaluation whereas the silo economy speaks about training’s but depends on the industry. These are the predicted scenarios in the near future so that HRD could prepare their selves if this might happen.

I am not so convinced that these scenarios would be inevitable in the next five to seven years, because they have no quantified basis in analyzing these scenarios. But whatever made them to predict such thing I hope it won’t happen. Though HRD’s needs to evolve but not in that way mentioned above for HRD’s have a distinct characteristics with different roles that talks about the development of the employees, from hiring, selecting, promoting and training. HRD’s portray a very important role in helping out the company, for I guess in the future, they would continue to soar and this profession would be highly recognized. I am pretty much sure that no matter how many years would pass, HRD’s would still be in its place improving and developing.

How will you explain to the people that indeed philosophy is life?

As we live we are practicing different principles and philosophies in life, whatever culture or races we belong. Unconsciously, our life is govern by social philosophies on the way we thing, we act or behave and the way we feel.  According to philosophers, man is social by nature and because of this there are disciplines that guides us how we interact with one another. What we are doing right now is guided with philosophies what you are wishing or dreaming for is because of the fact that philosophy exist and so as our life. We can’t see life but we know how to live and be with other people same with philosophy we can’t see that it is already happening in us.

I in Me

Personally, I believe that life is suffering. As long as we live we suffer from time to time. As for myself, since I was a child I learn to suffer for the sake of my family. There was one time that I suffer because of my younger brothers since I am the eldest I should be patient in dealing with them even if they’re destroying my things and making a mess in the house then I’m the one who will clean it. I was taught not to shout at them and not to fight with them so I just cried in silence. But later, when I see my brothers enjoy playing I feel happy and learn how to overcome my suffering through right attitude.

Actually I treat everyone as my friends; I never degrade nor humiliate someone. Because I believe that if you don’t wish that others will hurt you don’t hurt them. So I really try not to easily judge other people and understand them. There was a time when a friend was mad at me because she was offended of what I’ve done without her presence. I initiated a meeting for our organization since I was assign for a certain project as a chairperson. This friend of mine happens to be the vice-president of the organization, and she’s mad why I didn’t ask for her permission and talk something bad about me. I just ignored her and continue with my project and I never fight her back for I understand her sentiments and I never hate her as well.

Other people told me that I’m a convivial and amiable person. I easily laugh and I love to smile. I smile to everyone I meet. I guess that’s my way of perceiving life I allow myself to go with the nature and appreciate it so what’s the use of frowning where you able to see the wonderful world. Then when I encountered problems I just smile at it for I know it will come and go it’s a natural process.

I know what is right and what is wrong. And I dutifully follow and obey what is right for me and what is lawful. I’m so afraid to commit mistakes and violate the rules and doctrines.  I make sure that everything I do is in accordance in the laws of God.

Family disorientation vs. students achievement

Family disorientation is largely experience by most students not only in poverty line families but same goes to middle to higher class families. Parents choose to live separately regardless how their children feels, while some, though they live together but in a very inharmonious way. However, there are parents in spite of the situation still supports and care of their children in their studies and others, who are worst, abandon their children. This now become the growing problem that the country is facing and most importantly the school since many students are affected which will eventually affects their academic performance.

It is worthy to note that majority of high school students in the country who got poor or failing grades in their academic subjects came from a broken or disoriented family. Some of them as we saw were not just having poor academic performance but instead they let themselves be retained at their year level after dropping-out their respective subjects. It is timely to identify or to determine what are the major reasons why students in high school who came from a broken or disoriented family are greatly affected in their academic classes. In addition also, it is important to note the causes why majority of high school students begin to encounter academic problems once their family are broken or disoriented.

My head is really aching today maybe because of the weather. I feel dizzy and I wanted to sleep. But still I have to work and wait til I am off. I’ve heard there’s a typhoon coming and classes were suspended. I am not yet sure if all emplooyees will be advised to leave later. I hope that this typhoon will not be that strong like Yolanda because we are still on the recovery stage and another strong typhoon shall be unbearable. However, the calamities that may strike is beyond our control, all we can do is pray to our Lord God to protect us and help us endure whatever disastrous event that will come to us.

In this new era, businesses began to evolve and grew rapidly in order to meet the global demand, and Latin America paved the way the importance of training and HRD professionals for the development of employees for the latter are the key factors on the growth and progress of the business. But along with these, there are obstacles needs to overcome. First is, training hasn’t viewed as strategic. People believe that training is a discrete activity and other than that it did not help nor contributed to the success of the business for they said training were not to improve the employees performance. Hence, Latin America vigorously needs to change this belief. Next is, the training has lack of support from management. There is no strong commitment or total support of training coming from the management for they consider it to be an expense without getting something in return and also, they’re afraid of the sustainability of their employees. Another is, impaired access to information. Because of language variation and cultural differences in every country it’s quite difficult to pass on the necessary information in regards to training. Moreover, Latin America was challenged by these obstacles and was able to find solution of those mentioned obstruction. Thus, they able to progress, creating different techniques and strategies for a more productive and effective training of employees. And by the help of advanced technology trainers could master those obstacles. Currently, big companies provide training’s for they believe it could help their employees to grow and at the same time perform well and stay longer in the company. Henceforth, it is believe that in the near future, Latin America would be able to create corporate universities, use more intensive technology, provide better education to children and training for adults and create learning organizations.

Latin America was so amazing for they able to conduct a thorough investigation and excellent analyzation of the needs of the company and more particularly the needs of the employees. And the result is, the creation of training in companies. Training indeed play a vital role to the company, for it enhanced and developed the performance of the employees thus fuel up the progress and prosperity of companies. When a company aims to be successful and sustain in the business world well definitely they should provide extensive training to the employees in order to achieve their goals. For employees are the one who operates the business and run for its success, they must be given value and attention for them to become more competent of their job. But then, training must be given appropriately to really meet its objective so that the effort and expense wouldn’t be wasted. Good thing that Latin America device different strategies that suits the needs and welfare of employees and the companies could use of it.

On the other hand, HRD’s play an important role in companies, for they are the one who trained and help employees. They are the personnel’s whom the management could rely on in the development of the firm in terms of building and creating very good employees . They assess and evaluate employees to predict any predicaments in the future and be able to prevent it earlier. Therefore, it is imperative that HRD’s and training should be present in every companies.
